Stanley B. Boraski, 72, was a graduate of Spencer Business College in Schenectady. He moved to Charlton in 1965. He had worked at the General Electric Co. for more than 40 years. He had worked at the General Electric plant in Roanoke, Va., from 1956-65, spent two years in Saudi Arabia and retired in 1983 as logistics manager in the General Electric Power Systems office in Schenectady.
Mr. Boraski was a World War II Army veteran, during which he served in the 130th Army Air Forces. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and the China-Burma-India Theater. He was awarded a Bronze Star. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Glenville. He also was involved with the China-Burma-India Albany Basha.
Mr. Boraski was the finance officer for the 1989 National Reunion of Servicemen who fought in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 201 in Schenectady and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Trojan Boraski; a son; a daughter; a sister, Helen Smith of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
